The New Kingsland project in Henbury, Bristol, delivered 16 much-needed affordable homes for Bristol City Council, designed with sustainability, energy efficiency and social value at the forefront. The scheme features 10 houses and 6 flats alongside a dedicated community garden.
As part of the scheme’s commitment to carbon reduction and renewable energy integration, Step Energy designed and installed a high-performance solar PV system to enhance the development’s environmental credentials and reduce operational energy costs for residents.
Our works at New Kingsland centred on the supply and installation of a 18.36 kWp solar PV array, supporting the scheme’s low-carbon design principles and long-term sustainability goals.
The system plays a critical role in reducing residents’ energy bills and lowering the embodied and operational carbon footprint of the homes.
The solar PV system, designed and delivered by Step Energy, enhances the long-term efficiency of the New Kingsland development and demonstrates how renewable energy can be seamlessly integrated into affordable housing.
